The Inaugural Spudfest "Photato-graphy" Competition

Time to polish up your camera lens for the inaugural Spudfest Photato-graph competition. Supporting the Trentham Neighbourhood Centre, there's an entry fee of $5 per shot (no limit to entries per person). Maximum A4-size printed photos MUST include a potato-related image and need to be mounted (not framed) on black card. Please put your name & phone number on the back only.

Mounted photos to be delivered to TNC by 4pm on Wednesday May 3rd. Entries will be displayed at TNC on the day, with public voting deciding the winners, which will be announced at SpudHub at 3.15pm & on our FaceBook Page.

Prizes for most-creative, most-spudly and best-in-potato-field.

Spud Hut Bus Tours

Tours of the historical Spud Huts in and around Trentham will depart from the Town Square (see map) at various times throughout the day. This is a great way to get a taste of our rich history. Tickets will be available from the Historical Society in the Town Square and tours will run for around 1 hour.

Horse & Dray

Ride the town precincts on a traditional horse & dray. See the map for drop off/pick up points. The Gold Coin Donation will support TRATA (Trentham Rail and Tram Association) who have sponsored this activity.

Tractor Pull

The Railway Station Precinct will have Tractor Pull between 10am and 3pm.


Cooking Demonstrations

There will be cooking demonstrations in the Town Square Precinct showcasing the variety of edible delights that can be created from the humble Spud at 10:30am, 12:30pm and 2:30pm

Open Studios

The Daylesford Macedon Ranges Open Studios (DMROS) is an annual Open Studios event offered by artists of Daylesford and Macedon Ranges. In 2018, it's sixth year, it is happening over Autumn. DMROS has chosen several Trentham artists for the Spudfest weekend, so that locals and visitors can enjoy an extension to their festival experience:
