The Great Trentham Spud Bake Off
The Neighbourhood Centre will hold the inaugural Spud Bake Off at 11:30am to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Spudfest. Amongst the judges will be Sylvia Johnson, who started the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival. Categories are:
- Savoury Spud Adult
- Savoury Spud Junior (up to 16 yo)
- Sweet Spud Adult
- Sweet Spud Junior (up to 16 yo)
We encourage anyone who loves to cook to show off their Spudskills. You can download ENTRY FORMS here. Entry is $5 with all proceeds going to the Neighbourhood Centre.

Spud Hut Bus Tours
Tours of the historical Spud Huts in and around Trentham will depart from the Town Square (see map) at various times throughout the day. This is a great way to get a taste of our rich history. Tickets will be available from the Historical Society in the Town Square and tours will run for around 1 hour.
Horse & Dray
Ride the town precincts on a traditional horse & dray. See the map for drop off/pick up points. The Gold Coin Donation will support TRATA (Trentham Rail and Tram Association) who have sponsored this activity.
Wood chopping demonstrations will be on at the Railway Station precinct. Come down for some good country fun and watch some amazing skills.
The Railway Station Precinct will have Tractor Pull between 10am and 3pm.
There will be cooking demonstrations in the Town Square Precinct showcasing the variety of edible delights that can be created from the humble Spud at 10:30am, 12:30pm and 2:30pm
The Daylesford Macedon Ranges Open Studios (DMROS) is an annual Open Studios event offered by artists of Daylesford and Macedon Ranges. In 2017, it's fifth year, it is happening over Autumn. DMROS has chosen several Trentham artists for the Spudfest weekend, so that locals and visitors can enjoy an extension to their festival experience:
